Scope and Topics
The 2010 JSME/RMD International Conference on Advanced Mechatronics (ICAM 2010) will take place at the Suita Campus of Osaka University, Osaka, Japan from October 4 to 6, 2010. The ICAM is the only international conference exclusively sponsored and organized by the Robotics & Mechatronics Division of the Japan Society for Mechanical Engineers. This conference is one of the most traditional and historical ones on robotics and mechatronics, since it was first held in Tokyo in 1988. This is the fifth conference, and the theme is "Robotics and Mechatronics for Sustainable Innovation", reflecting the growing expectations for robotics and mechatronics technology especially applicable to biological, medical, and ecological fields in the recent society. Sustainable innovation of the technology will open a frontier to a new era.
Osaka is one of the most active cities for industries as well as businesses to attract people from all over the world, thus it can provide the best and the most interesting atmosphere for the international meeting. It is famous for providing good quality of foods and entertainments you can enjoy at your free time. Osaka also has good accesses to Kyoto and Nara to enjoy their historical monuments and architectures in Japanese beautiful fall. You are cordially invited to join us at JSME/RMD ICAM 2010 in Osaka
The conference aims to provide a forum for researchers, engineers, educators, and students involved in the general areas of mechatronics, robotics, and automation to disseminate their latest research results and to exchange their views on the future research directions of the fields. The topics of interest include, but not limited to the following:
Nano/micro systems and applications, biological and medical applications
Biomedical and rehabilitation engineering, welfare robotics and mechatronics
Universal design and services, ubiquitous robots and devices
Human-robot interaction, semi-autonomous systems, telerobotics
