The Journal of Robotics and Mechatronics publishes both fundamental and
application oriented original papers dealing with robotics and
mechatronics. The Journal is technically co-sponsored by the Robotics and
Mechatronics Division of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers.
1. Categories
The Journal publishes Papers, Development Reports, Reviews, Letters, Notes and
Discussions.
Papers : Presentation of significant research and development in technical
areas in robotics and mechatronics. Papers should include a carefully worded
Abstract of roughly 200 words, Keywords within 5
words.
Development Reports : Presentation of new products or systems which are newly
developed in robotics and mechatronics.
Reviews : Presentation of overview of the state-of-art in robotics and
mechatronics . Historical perspective view is also included in this category.
Authors will be asked by editorial committee.
Letters : Presentation of a single result, experiment, or technique of general
interest for which a letter treatment is appropriate. Letters are limited to
two Journal pages.
Notes : Presentation of a trial of new approach or valuable data even though it
is not completed.
Discussions : Discussions are a separate class of short manuscripts.
Appropriate items include (but are not limited to) rebuttals and/or counter
examples of previously published papers.
2. Style of Manuscript
All manuscripts should be written in correct English and convey ideas of
importance to the robotics and mechatronics community. The first manuscript
page should contain author(s) name, affiliation(s), a corresponding author’s address, phone/fax number, and e-mail address.
Except both Letters and News, there is no limitation for the maximum pages. Double-spaced typewritten pages, with single column, double spacing is
recommended but not limited to this.
A good number of References must be cited. References must include only printed academic materials, e.g. journal and conference papers, books, and do not include any Web URLs. References should have the following style : Author (with family name first), title, journal title, volume, number, page numbers (pp 100-105), (year). If author(s) would cite URLs, they should be listed in separate “Supporting Online Material(s)” which follows References.
The SI unit is
strongly recommended.
3. Submission
Papers for Special Issue : The manuscript should be submitted to the organizer
directly. The submission
procedure is provided in the CFP announced in JSME-RMD homepage. Please do not submit it to neither the
publisher nor the Editor-in-chief.
All other manuscripts for
Regular Issue: The materials should be submitted to the Editor-in-chief by
e-mail.
